Miracles – The Ultimate Miracle
Ecclesiastes 3:11 (NLT)
Yet God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God’s work from beginning to end.
ETERNAL LIFE is the ULTIMATE miracle.
Miracles meet TEMPORARY needs.
Jesus came to SOLVE the eternal problem of SIN.
Romans 3:23 (NIV)
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
Sin SEPARATES us from God NOW and FOREVER.
Romans 6:23a (NIV)
The wages of sin is death.
John 3:16 (NIV)
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
How can we experience the ultimate miracle?
1. RECEIVE it.
ETERNITY is a REALITY that EVERYONE will FACE.
Hebrews 9:27-28 (NLT)
And just as each person is destined to die once and after that comes judgment, 28 so also Christ was offered once for all time as a sacrifice to take away the sins of many people. He will come again, not to deal with our sins, but to bring salvation to all who are eagerly waiting for him.
Job 14:5 (NLT)
You have decided the length of our lives. You know how many months we will live, and we are not given a minute longer.

Ephesians 2:8–9 (NIV)
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast.
2. REJOICE in it.

1 Thessalonians 4:13-14 (NIV)
Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. 14 For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.
Death isn’t the END, it’s the BEGINNING.
John 14:1-3 (NIV)
“Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. 2 My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.
HEAVEN is much better than EARTH.
Luke 23:42-43 (NLT)
Then he said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.” 43 Jesus answered him, “Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise.”
Revelation 21:4 (NIV)
He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.
3. RESPOND to it.

What you believe about ETERNITY should determine how you live TODAY.
Philippians 1:20-23 (NLT)
And I trust that my life will bring honor to Christ, whether I live or die. 21 For to me, living means living for Christ, and dying is even better. 22 But if I live, I can do more fruitful work for Christ. So I really don’t know which is better. 23 I’m torn between two desires: I long to go and be with Christ, which would be far better for me. 24 But for your sakes, it is better that I continue to live.
Colossians 3:1-4 (NLT)
Since you have been raised to new life with Christ, set your sights on the realities of heaven, where Christ sits in the place of honor at God’s right hand. 2 Think about the things of heaven, not the things of earth. 3 For you died to this life, and your real life is hidden with Christ in God. 4 And when Christ, who is your life, is revealed to the whole world, you will share in all his glory.
