The Product of Gratitude - Pastor Mel Masengale

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18(NLT)
16
Always be joyful. 17 Never stop praying. 18 Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.
Psalm 50:14 (NLT)
Make thankfulness your sacrifice to God,
and keep the vows you made to the Most High.
Psalm 50:8-15 (NLT)
8
I have no complaint about your sacrifice
or the burnt offerings you constantly offer.
9 But I do not need the bulls from your barns
or the goats from your pens.
10 For all the animals of the forest are mine,
and I own the cattle on a thousand hills.
11 I know every bird on the mountains,
and all the animals of the field are mine.
12 If I were hungry, I would not tell you,
for all the world is mine and everything in it.
13 Do I eat the meat of bulls?
Do I drink the blood of goats?
14 Make thankfulness your sacrifice to God,
and keep the vows you made to the Most High.
15 Then call on me when you are in trouble,
and I will rescue you,
and you will give me glory.”
God owns it ALL.
Exodus 19:5
Now if you will obey me and keep my covenant, you will be my own special treasure from among all the peoples on earth; for all the earth belongs to me.
1 Cor 10:26 (NLT)
For “the earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it.”
God is the SOURCE of it ALL.
James 1:17 (ESV)
17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.
God is the one RESPONSIBLE for it ALL.
Colossians‬ 1‬:15‬-17‬ (ESV‬‬)
“He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him. And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together.”
Acts 4:32-35 (NLT)
32
All the believers were united in heart and mind. And they felt that what they owned was not their own, so they shared everything they had. 33 The apostles testified powerfully to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and God’s great blessing was upon them all. 34 There were no needy people among them, because those who owned land or houses would sell them 35 and bring the money to the apostles to give to those in need.
2 Corinthians 9:7 (NLT)
7
You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. “For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.

2 Cor 9:8-9 (NLT)
8 And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others. 9 As the Scriptures say, “They share freely and give generously to the poor. Their good deeds will be remembered forever.”[Psalm 112:9]
2 Corinthians 9:8 (ESV)
And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work.
sufficiency - autarkeia (ow-tar'-ki-ah)
  1. a perfect condition of life in which no aid or support is needed
  2. sufficiency of the necessities of life
  3. a mind contented with its lot, contentment

Discontentedness is the enemy of "GOOD WORK" in your life.
2 Corinthians 9:10 (NLT)
10
For God is the one who provides seed for the farmer and then bread to eat. In the same way, he will provide and increase your resources and then produce a great harvest of generosity in you.
2 Corinthians 9:11-12 (NLT)11 Yes, you will be enriched in every way so that you can always be generous. And when we take your gifts to those who need them, they will thank God. 12 So two good things will result from this ministry of giving—the needs of the believers in Jerusalem will be met, and they will joyfully express their thanks to God.
Proverbs 19:23 (NLT)
“The fear of the LORD leads to life; then one rests content, untouched by trouble” .
Ownership -> Gratitude -> Contentment -> Good Works (Generosity)
