Under God - Indivisible

Disagreement is UNAVOIDABLE. Division is a CHOICE.

A DIVIDED nation needs a UNITED Church.

What UNITES us is greater than what DIVIDES us: LOVE.

We can DISAGREE politically and still love UNCONDITIONALLY.

John 17:1,11 (NIV)
“Father, the hour has come. Glorify your Son, that your Son may glorify you.” 11 “I will
remain in the world no longer, but they are still in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, protect them by the power of your name, the name you gave me, so that they may be one as we are one.”

John 17:20–21 (NIV)
“My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, 21 that all of them may be one.

Unity was ESSENTIAL.

We must be INTENTIONAL.

John 17:21 (NIV)
Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.

John 13:34–35 (NIV)
As I have loved you, so you must love one another. 35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another (as I have loved you).

John 17:22–23 (NIV)
I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one—23 I in them and you in me—so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.

The Church has:
One PURPOSE.
One MESSAGE.
One COMMAND.

Action Steps:
1. Pray for unity.

2. Look for an opportunity to love unconditionally, someone with whom you disagree
politically.

Matthew 16:18 (NIV)
“I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.”
